Call for Abstracts

Abstract preparation:
Abstracts are now being accepted for lecture (invited speakers), short oral presentation (SOP) or poster presentation in each of the four sessions.
The abstract template can be downloaded (here ) as a Word file. Please do not modify the format (fonts, margins, etc.). The abstract should fit onto one page, and may include up to one figure. Proofread your finished abstract for factual, spelling or typographical errors. Make sure graphics are legible when reproduced in black and white.
Name your document as follows: First letter of the first name together with family name_chosen session_type of presentation (lecture, SOP or poster)

Abstract submission:

Deadline for abstract submission is May 1, 2014. We have been asked to extend the deadline for abstract submissions. The new deadline is Tuesday, May 20, 2014. We have once again extended the abstract submission deadline. Although the final deadline is June 15, if you would like your abstract to be considered for short oral presentation, then please submit it by June 1.

The abstract should be submitted via email as an attachment. In the subject line, please type “BABS Abstract Submission”. In the message of your email, be sure to indicate to which of the four sessions it should be considered, and whether it is intended for a lecture (invited speakers), short oral presentation (SOP) or poster presentation. Send the email to Jane Thelaner (Jane ); a confirmation of receipt email will be sent within 24 hours of submission.
Based on the committee's evaluation, submitted abstracts will be accepted as either short oral or poster presentation, and notifications will be emailed, by May 10, 2014. first week in June for short oral presentations.

Guidelines for poster preparation:
Predicted poster size is W90cm x H110 cm maximum.
